Nails by Janette Policies

            ***ATTENTION*** Regarding Coronavirus/COVID-19 *** 

The following guidelines must be followed: 

  • If you, or anyone you socialize with shows signs or symptoms of Coronavirus/COVID-19, please notify me immediately and your appointment will be rescheduled.  I will do the same for you!
  • Coronavirus/COVID-19 liability waiver must be signed.
  • No friends or family will be permitted in the establishment.
  • Wait outside or in your vehicle until I greet you.
  • Wash hands upon entry.  
  • If these guidelines are not followed your appointment will be canceled and my cancellation policy will be put into effect.

I reserve the right to alter the above guidelines as needed. 

Your Duty to Inform

Your health and safety are of paramount importance to me at Nails by Janette.  I trust the information you provide me. Successful service execution requires your full disclosure during all pre-service consultations. Nails by Janette will not be responsible for any adverse reactions to services rendered in circumstances where a guest has failed to inform me of contraindicating conditions.

Scope of Practice

I want you to be well! Nail technicians are not permitted to diagnose or treat skin or nails that are abnormal in any way. As a licensed professional, I have a duty to refer guests with complication outside of my scope of practice to a qualified physician for proper care. Guests with apparent complications will be denied service and referred to a physician.

Service Maintenance

Nails by Janette takes great pride in providing quality services with quality products. Please understand that nails are jewels, not tools and nail enhancements are not nail replacements. Enhancements and gel polish require maintenance every 14 days. For best results, pedicures should be scheduled every 2-4 weeks. Should you have any questions or experience any complications, please contact me!

Right to Refuse Service

You can trust me! Nails by Janette reserves the right to refuse services at my discreation when necessary. Please trust my professional, educated and experienced judgement.

Arrival Time

I want you to fully enjoy your time with me, so please arrive ten minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. New clients who haven't completed my intake form should arrive fifteen minutes prior. Treatments here are designed to deliver the most benefit within the time allotted. As a courtesy to my other guests, I'm unable to extend service times or issue partial refunds for late arrivals. While I make every effort to accommodate late arrivals, if you are more than fifteen minutes late, your service(s) may have to be rescheduled and my cancellation fee will apply. 

Cancellations & Missed Appointments

The time you schedule is reserved for your exclusive use. When appointments are missed or cancelled without sufficient notice, I am often unable to fill them. The financial impact of these late cancellations can be substantial. As a courtesy, Nails by Janette sends appointment confirmations twenty-four hours in advance of your appointment, however, it is ultimately your responsibility to notate and remember your appointment with me.
Should you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we request at least twenty-four (24) hours' notice. If you do not provide notice (or miss your appointment altogether), you will be charged a fee in accordance with the following:

  • Cancellations with less than twenty-four (24) hours' notice will result in a charge equal to 100% of the scheduled service(s).
  • Missed appointments will result in a charge equal to 100% of the scheduled service(s).
  • Guests who repeatedly cancel without adequate notice and/or missed their scheduled appointments will be asked to pay for future appointments in full at the time of booking.
  • NEW CLIENTS must prepay a NON-REFUNDABLE appointment holding fee equal to the amount of booked services.

Children and Pets

Enjoy some YOU time! Nails by Janette has been designed to serve as a relaxing retreat for my valued guests. For this reason, no children are permitted in the room. With the exception of service dogs, pets are also prohibited. Aside from being destracting, pets and children pose a liability, since I cannot assure their safety. Thank you for understanding!

Cell Phones

To maintain a relaxing, comfortable atmosphere for my guests, I politely request that cell phones be silenced or powered off in the room.

Returns & Exchanges

PRODUCTS:  Client safety and product integrity is important to me, therefore product refunds or exchanges are only accepted on a limited basis. Only sealed, unopened, unused products will be accepted when accompanied by a receipt dated within 14 days of purchase. Opened products are considered to be contaminated and will not be eligible for refund or return.


SERVICES:  Service sales at Nails by Janette are final, however, if you are unsatisfied in any way or experience abnormal service breakdown of any kind, please contact me within 7 days to arrange for evaluation.


COMPLAINTS:  Should you not be satisfied with any aspect of your visit, please inform me in person as soon as possible. As a business dedicated to delivering a superior guest experience, I welcome all feedback and suggestions. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to grow and learn how to serve you better!
